About Bayard Lawyers

Our principal lawyer Jacinta Bayard has over 11 years experience in Commercial Law, Technology Contracts and the Commercialisation and Protection of Intellectual Property. She holds an honours law degree and is admitted as a solicitor in Victoria and New South Wales. Jacinta completed her honours thesis on the Protection of Intellectual Property on the Internet.

Jacinta gained her legal experience at law firm Blake Dawson Waldron and has worked as in-house Counsel at Aristocrat, Telstra and Tab Limited with a particular focus on Information Technology, Intellectual Property and Commercial Law matters. This experience has enabled Jacinta to advise on legal issues relating to critical business matters as well as every day operational issues, often working to tight timeframes.

Jacinta is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has written articles on information technology, intellectual property, e-commerce and privacy issues and has lectured at IP conferences on the topic of safeguarding Intellectual Property against potential infringements.

Jacinta is a volunteer lawyer for PILCH and the NSW Law Society Community Referral Service.
